1. General Information
The services provided through Backcountry Cardio are designed to help runners achieve their distance running goals through structured training plans, one-on-one coaching, and performance analysis. All guidance is based on the coach’s training, experience, and best practices in the endurance sports community.
2. Not Medical Advice
Coaching services offered by Backcountry Cardio do not constitute medical advice. Always consult a physician or qualified healthcare provider before beginning any new exercise program, particularly if you have an existing medical condition, injury, or health concern. Participation in any physical training carries inherent risks, which you acknowledge and accept.
3. Individual Results May Vary
Every athlete responds differently to training due to factors such as genetics, nutrition, stress, recovery, and training history. No specific outcome or performance result is guaranteed.
4. Personal Responsibility
Athletes are responsible for communicating openly and honestly about health status, injuries, fatigue, and lifestyle factors that may impact training. You are expected to follow training guidance responsibly and inform your coach of any concerns requiring adjustment.
5. Confidentiality
All personal and performance information shared with Backcountry Cardio will be kept confidential and used solely to deliver individualized coaching services. No personal data will be shared without your explicit consent, except as required by law.
6. Cancellation & Refund Policy
Coaching is billed on a month-to-month basis. You may cancel your coaching services at any time, with no long-term commitment required. However, once a new billing cycle begins, no refunds will be issued for that month, regardless of usage. Access to coaching will continue through the end of the paid month.
7. Use of Technology
Backcountry Cardio may use third-party platforms (e.g., TrainingPeaks, Final Surge, Garmin Connect, Strava) to deliver training and track progress. By using these platforms, you also agree to their respective privacy and data use policies.
8. Waiver of Liability
By participating in coaching services provided by Backcountry Cardio, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with physical training and athletic performance. You acknowledge that running and other forms of endurance training carry inherent risks of injury, illness, or even death.
You agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless Backcountry Cardio, its owners, coaches, employees, agents, and affiliates from any and all liability, claims, or causes of action, including those caused by negligence, arising out of or related to your participation in any coaching, training plan, or recommended activities. This includes, but is not limited to, injuries sustained while running, cross-training, racing, or participating in any training-related activity.
You confirm that you are in good physical health and have obtained clearance from a licensed medical professional to participate in physical activity. This waiver shall remain in effect for the duration of your involvement with Backcountry Cardio, and you understand that it is legally binding.
